Resuming Saved State issues

Hi! I am using a process interaction to "animate" what would be an extremely wordy course. I have made a trigger to deactivate the Next button until the user clicks the last timeline tab tricking them into clicking each tab. My issue is if/when the user wants to revisit that slide, the next button resumes to the deactivated state and they must click a different tab and back to the last one to get the Next button . I have selected "resume saved state" in the slide properties and tried several other triggers that just will not keep the next button from deactivating when they go back, any suggestions?
