The learners are clicking a button to view the PDF, correct? Is this button on a slide? If it is, you could add another trigger to the button that would move the course itself to a new slide when clicked. So, when the user closes out of the PDF, the new slide will be waiting for them. I haven't tested this, yet, but if you'd like me to try to make a quick example just let me know.
Hopefully this will get you started in the right direction I'm sure others probably have some more elegant suggestions, just wanted to share an option with you.
Hi Christine, That seems elegantly simple. I'll try it. I think I'l have to change the timing on the original button to disappear and have a new button appear after it is clicked so when the learner comes back there will be a new message. All my nav buttons are customized to fit the story.

Good luck with the project!

Sounds good, Alan. I look forward to seeing how it turns out
