Here is what I would like to do. i have 7 question banks, one for each section of my course. Inside the section they take a review quiz with unlimited attempts.
I want to use those same banks, in a combined quiz at the end, but remove the option for multiple tries.
Can i change the attempts for just that instance, or do i just need to duplicate the bank and have one bank called questions - multiple attempts, and then then a second bank called questions - final single attempt.

I would recommend using different banks, this way you will not run into any issues with repeated questions or incorrect settings. Plus, combining them creates a new question bank anyway :)
