I am trying to only listen tot he audio a layer and not on the base layer so I can add cue points. However, the base layer still plays even though I am viewing the layer.
How can I ONLY listen the audio on a particular layer without previewing? Am I missing a setting?
Are you referring to using the timeline play button? When viewing the layer you should be able to hit the play button and that layers audio should start. When going into Preview and publish, you would need to select "pause timeline of base layer" in the properties to stop that one from playing.

Hi Emily, yes I am referring to the former. I do hit play, but it plays the base layer even though I have the "pause base layer"
Hello Kai!
Are you hitting the play button while viewing the layer, or from the base layer? The Pause Base layer should only affect the preview and the publish.
You could share your file here if you would like us to take a look.
Yes, I a hitting the play btn while viewing the layer. I can't share the file , sorry.
Hello Kai,
If you need to share the file privately, you can send it to me here. You can also just send a file with the one slide.
