Rights for commercial use

Feb 04, 2016

Hi,

I'm creating an e-learning course for a client who will then sell it. They seem to think that it can't include any of the built in characters - photographic or illustrated if they're going to sell the course to the public.

Is that true?

Thanks!

You will want to make sure that your question is answered by a member of the Articulate Storyline staff, but I believe you are in the clear since the characters in Articulate Storyline are yours to use in commercial products because you have purchased them when you buy the program. If this isn't the case, I would be very surprised!

Hi Jennifer,

You are totally ok to use them as needed within Articulate products and however you choose to license/sell the courses and content after you've published. There isn't any language other than t he FAQ here. The only thing you'll see there, is not being able to use them outside of Articulate products - such as if you were to try to resell the characters separately or place in another environment.

Hope that helps - and if you need more specifics, let me know or feel free to reach out to our Success team, they may have some EULA language available.
