I am wanting to save pictures in Storyline 2 and when I do, it seems to save the image I select/want on the upper left, plus a BUNCH of other, extra space. The extra is to the right and below. I've attached an example.
I saved both of the images and then imported them. They appear correctly on my computer. Are you certain you do not have more than one object selected when you save the image?
Well, it's like this...I dual boot using a 2012 Macbook pro to Win10. So it is native, not a virtual load onto MacOS. It's attached to a 23" Mac Cinema Display. But I can't use Storyline without having both monitors open. I used to be able to let the laptop monitor sleep, but can't for some reason anymore. :(
If I leave it open and drive both monitors, it sets the right resolution, otherwise, it is factoring a resolution adjustment and it and causing the image to get reduced/squashed...very interesting indeed. :)
Glad I know what I need to do. Thanks to all for your help!!! Your suggestions led me to the culprit.

Do you have a slide you can share?
Is the image grouped with other objects (such as large white box)? If so, Storyline is likely saving the group as an image.
Here's an example. I saved two of the images out as pictures and imported them back in to show how they display.

I'm just clicking the individual image to do a save as picture, just like I always have. :(
I can't replicate the problem. What is your display's DPI setting? Be sure it is 96 DPI per this Support page.
Here's what I'm capturing. It only shows the one object.
Yes, it's set at 100% already. I didn't need to change it.
I wasn't referring to Storyline's zoom level; rather, check your monitor's DPI setting. Is it 96?
Yes, sorry I wasn't specific. This is Win10 DPI 100% or 96 DPI.
Unfortunately, I don't have any additional suggestions. I recommend opening a case with Articulate.
I am not able to replicate either . . . so here are some questions to help trouble shoot.
Are you currently connected to an additional monitor?
Can you draw shapes? Do they come out as expected?
If so, if you disconnect that and reboot do you have the same issue?
And are you by chance working from any kind of shared drive?
I've found my problem is tied to my external monitor. Thx
Thanks for popping in to share your findings Jo. I'm assuming it was related to the display settings of that monitor then? Interesting.
