Saving a Storyline-embedded Engage interaction into its own file

Feb 24, 2016

How do I “Save As…” an Engage interaction embedded within a Storyline 2 project into its own Engage .intr file?

I have a Storyline 2 file with an embedded Engage interaction. I’d like to save the interaction into its own Engage .intr file. I open the interaction by clicking Engage Tools > Edit in Engage in Storyline; Engage opens in a Storyline-attached editor. There is no File menu with a Save As… item nor any other means to save the Engage interaction as a separate .intr file; just a Save and Return to Storyline button.Storyline 2 screenshot with embedded Engage interactionEngage editor embedded within Storyline 2 project

Hi, Bob -- Thanks so much for reaching out with your question! I took a look in a sample file, and while I do not see a way to independently save or export your embedded Engage interaction from Storyline 2, perhaps it could work if you click on the (a) in the upper left corner of the Engage interaction. You will see that Save and Save As are greyed out, but perhaps you could choose the "Send" option and email it to yourself and save it down to a location of your choice from there?

Please let us know if that will work for you, and if you'd like to see this type of functionality made available in the future, you are welcome to share your thoughts with our Product team by using this form.
