Saving a video before inserting it into a slide
Feb 26, 2016
Hi all, I'm new at recording videos. I have a one hour screencast to record and I know that inserting it into my project will take a huge amount of processing time. I've investigated how I can save the screencast without inserting it into a slide (to do at a later date). I found this on a tutorial:
"If you change your mind and want to discard the screencast, click the Cancel button in the lower right corner of the screen or press the Esc key on your keyboard. You'll be asked if you want to save the screencast for later use." I tried this and chose YES but now I don't know where my video is located. Can anyone help?

I think I found it. If I choose "Record Screen", the drop down list shows all of my videos I've recorded, regardless if I've inserted them into the story or not, are there.
You got it Teresa!
To insert a screencast you previously recorded, go to the Insert tab on the ribbon, click the Record Screen drop-down arrow, and choose an existing screencast. We have a tutorial here that may assist you or anyone that runs across this forum thread in the future.
