Saving copy locally

May 13, 2020

I have some users that will be using aritculate 360 and some with storyline 3.  I would like to save the files locally on network drive so anyone can access and update if needed with either resource, is that possible?

Good morning, Mary!

Thanks for taking the time to reach out and ask a great question.

Recommended Workflow for Collaborative Network Environments

When sharing a Storyline project with other developers in your network, follow this workflow:

  1. After creating, editing, or publishing a Storyline project on your local c: drive, copy the project file to your network drive for storage and sharing.
  2. When you need to edit or publish the story again, copy it back to your local hard drive.
  3. Edit and publish as necessary.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3.

💭Did you know? By working on a local hard drive, you prevent loss of resources, file corruption, and other erratic behavior that can occur due to network latency. For more details, check out this resource!
