Saving the course results to your own Database
Feb 18, 2016
Hello guys, and girls! Im currently in a school-project, where we are making a portal for a firestation. They want us to make a portal were they can build courses in Articulate and publish it to that site, and were customers can buy courses. Our problem with Articulate (we are new to this tool) is that we have don't really understand how the results from the Articulate course will be saved in our own database so we can show it on the site.
If someone know how to make this happen, please comment! (We know how to embed the course, just not how embed it to the database)
Thanks, Martin!

Hi Martin,
Tracking results in a database isn't supported in Storyline 2. Storyline is designed primarily as a tool to be used in conjunction with Articulate Online or your own Learning Management System (LMS). If tracking is a must for you then you may wish to explore some of these options.
Articulate Online is a great way to accurately track results and you can sign up for a 30-day free trial here.
Any LMS that is compliant with SCORM, AICC or TIN CAN API will also provide accurate tracking capabilities. A couple open-source LMSs that may meet your tracking needs are eFront and Moodle.
Hope that helps! :)
Hello Again Martin!
I'm not entirely certain exactly what you are aiming to do in the portal atmosphere you're describing but I also wanted to share that Articulate Storyline is not supported in a server environment such as Citrix or VMware ThinApp. Let us know if you'd like details on volume licensing and we can have your account representative contact you to discuss options!
If that's not what you were aiming for, I invite our Community members to chime in with some helpful insight. :)
Hello! We are working with a firestation in our town, and they want to create and sell "fire-saftey"-courses online. But they want a portal where they can put in their Articulate Storyline courses for the customers to do and make it possible for the customers store their results on our webpage.
