Scenario Creation

Hi,
I have created a scenario for a recent course in Storyline 3. I continue to have students tell me they are having trouble getting through the scenario with the buttons. I would love to get any feedback people have with creating a scenario and if there may be a better way to build this.
I have attached the file to be able to review the scenario.
Thanks,
Aaron

Hello, Aaron. Thanks for including the .story file!
I checked out your scenario and was able to duplicate the issue - see this screen recording. I was able to click on the "Payment term" button and hear the audio and then click on the Documents button and hear that audio, but the triggers seem to stop working after returning to the scenario with the Back to Scenario button - neither the Prev or Next button reversed or advanced the course, and the Payment Item or Documents button wouldn't work anymore.
Is the complete scenario included within the .story file you've provided? I don't see any other slides or layers in this current slide. You might want to double-check your triggers or provide us with more slides/scenes so we can get a better idea of what exactly is going on.
Thanks Jesus. I have added more slides to the file. There are multiple case scenarios in a row for this module. I want to make sure the flow works for the scenarios. Thanks for your help.
Aaron, I took a look at your updated story file. When I look at it in Storyline View, I don't see any navigation arrows leading back to the beginning, I only see them going forward. See the screenshot below:
This leads me to believe there might be an issue with the triggers. I tried editing your story to change the triggers from the second slide to point directly to your first slide, and I was then better able to navigate between those slides. See the story file attached. Double-check those triggers and let us know how that works.
Thanks Jesus.
Is it better to always have the trigger for the prev button to state the specific slide to go to when clicked vs. generally stating to go to the previous slide?
Aaron
Students were having issues with the buttons not being able to continue on to the next scenario. I was curious if there may be a better to share this content with the buttons in a different way to make each scenario flow better.
Hi Aaron,
I wanted to make sure you were aware of issues I ran into while troubleshooting your slides - perhaps taking a different approach to your transitions between scenarios might be something you'll want to explore, but I'll happily defer to more experienced folks regarding best practices.
