Score Results in LMS - how do they work?

Mar 25, 2019

Hello,

I don't have much experience working with quizzes and need help.

Client needs to check if user understood each learning module. As a condition to move to the next module, the user must achieve a 80% score in a 10-question quiz.

I was told that this can be controlled on the LMS side. Is this right? I understand that the Articulate SCORM file will provide the score variable to the LMS and the LMS manager will then set the condition for the user to be "unlocked" to move to next module if the score is at least 80%.  Is this the way it works? Is there anything else I have to set in the quiz itself (apart from a results slide at the end to inform the user he needs to take the test again)?

I would also appreciate if anyone could indicate a tutorial on how to produce the results slide at the end of the quiz.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi Marcos!

You're spot on. Storyline sends quiz score data to your LMS. From there, you'll want to adjust your LMS settings to unlock the next course if the learner passed the previous quiz. What LMS are you using? Hopefully other folks who use the same one can point you in the right direction.

And check out this tutorial for all the details about adding a result slide at the end of a quiz.
