Scoring Individual Questions - Freeform Pick One

May 21, 2020

I'm confused.  If I'm understanding SL correct, freeform pick one allows scoring of each response, even though only one is allowed and freeform pick many only allows one score for the whole question, even though the user might have many correct answers.  What am I missing.  It seems like scoring by question should be available on freeform pick many and not on freeform pick one.

Hi Zachary!

I'm happy to offer clarity!

Why is scoring By Choice only available for Pick One (Multiple Choice questions) and not Pick Many (Multiple Response)?

For Pick One or Multiple Choice questions, you have the option of scoring each question based on the user's answer choice. For Pick Many or Multiple Response questions, there isn't an option to score by choice. The reason for this is that if a user picks one correct answer and one incorrect answer, then the answer is still incorrect. You can score for incorrect answers, but you can't score based on which incorrect answers are picked.
