SCORM functionality issues

Hello there,

In regards to testing our SCORM packages for reasons that it will not track properly in the new Workday LMS we are switching over to.

The issue we are experiencing is that when failing an exam, it will not always report to the LMS the course has been completed as failed. It lingers in a Not Started or In Progress Status.

I am running out of ideas for testing and was hoping someone may be able to provide me with guidance.

Please see the information below as to what has been tried.

 *All testing has been done with the following settings*:

              Format: HTML5

              LMS Reporting: SCORM 2004 (2nd,3rd,4th edition)

              Report Status to LMS as: Passed/Failed

              Tracking: using Results slide

 

The course that we are testing is a 10mb SCORM package with 143 slides, and 140 of them are questions that are either:

              Multiple Choice

              Multiple Response

              Fill in the blank

              Enter Numeric Character

              Image with Hot Spot

 

Testing performed:

·       I have tried publishing the course in every version of SCORM provided through articulate

o   Scorm 1.2, Report to LMS as Passed/Failed, Complete/Incomplete and Complete/Failed and tracking set to the results slide or Course completion trigger

o   SCORM 2004, 2nd,3rd,and 4th edition, Report to LMS as Passed/Failed, Complete/Incomplete and Complete/Failed and tracking set to the results slide or Course completion trigger

§  The publishing that we WANT to use is listed above in this email for primary testing as it will show in transcripts as Compelted – Failed – Userscore

·       Exiting the course

o   Course completion trigged button place on results slide, separate slide, separate slide layers

o   “Exit Course” trigged button place on results slide, separate slide, separate slide layers

o   Course completion and “Exit Course” trigged button place on results slide, separate slide, separate slide layers

·       Submitting results

o   Having user submit answers before proceeding to the next question

o   Having user submit answers all at once

·       Changing font types to known working options

·       Recreating all questions manually without copying/ pasting or importing questions from another file

·       Deleting questions and slides

o   I deleted slides sequentially by removing:

§  Slides with images

§  Slides with questions 1 by 1 with the formats provided earlier in this email to see if it was corrupted questions

·       Importing the questions from existing files, adding them as questions in a question bank

 

All of these different configurations with the following publishing settings:

Format: HTML5

              LMS Reporting: SCORM 2004 (2nd,3rd,4th edition)

              Report Status to LMS as: Passed/Failed

              Tracking: using Results slide

Work properly on SCORM CLOUD, they just will not record properly in Workday.
