SCORM Reporting Issues

Feb 20, 2019

Working with a course that has been published in SCORM 1.2 format with a large number of required quizzes that is having issues reporting completion back to our LMS.

Module quizzes report fine for some but an increasing number of learners are reporting that they are not able to progress in the course due to lessons not marking as successfully completed.

Are there recommended Storyline and LMS settings for these types of long format courses with 10+ required quizzes of varying lengths?

 Hi Mike,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know what you are experiencing with your project.

I'm not clear if the learner cannot proceed within the course due to navigation restriction or due to reporting that you have set up. A single quiz within your project should be reporting completion to your LMS.

Storyline lets you track a course either by the number of slides viewed or by a single quiz (result slide). Tracking both measurements or multiple quiz scores for the same course isn't supported. However, you may be able to track more than one SCO (shareable content object) in a single course using one of the methods in this article.

Another thought is that the users may be resuming the course when they run into this error and if it's a longer course, they could be hitting the suspend data limits. Check out this documentation to get some insight on these guidelines.
