Screen Recording Quality Tips

Hello all. I use Storyline to create training for software use, and noticed that Storyline's record screen feature does not take high enough resolution recordings to be useful for demonstrating complex software interactions. This is important for us because we need to be able to very clearly show the click by click sequence of events, particularly when you demonstrate interactions that normally are difficult to see, such as when the text on the screen is very small, or the software application is very busy with lots of buttons and fields.  I should add that this issue also carries over to Storyline's screen grab feature, which also seems to take screen shots at very poor resolution. We need to be able to use Storyline to take high quality screen recordings, so my question is, is there a way to do this?
