I haven't worked with Storyline's screen recording features in the past and I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to have a tab based interaction with a Show recording, then a tab of text, and lastly a Try version of the recording.
It seems like it would flow really well to have all the recordings and content all on one slide with tabs across the top.
Also can recording be inserted/placed on top of designed themes?
I'm assuming you are asking about a tab interaction similar to this one. You can place what you need on each of the tabs. The theme should not affect this either.
I'm not sure I understand your tab structure - although you could make it look like one slide with those tabs and then just load it from different slides/scenes?
As for inserting it on top of designed themes, since screen recordings are typically the same size as your story size they'll take up the entire slide size. Step by step recordings are also inserted as a part of the background image of the slide, so you wouldn't be able to resize or adjust additional elements to appear behind them.

That's is the interaction type was thinking about using; and the issue with the background is what I was thinking...
