Hi Danny,

I'm a bit confused about your post - are you inserting the screen recording as video on a single slide, and there are also images in the background of the slide? When you publish the video itself is just missing - no place holder or anything? Do you have a .story file we could take a look at?

In the meantime, as this sounds particularly odd, it's worth checking into the following:

• Are you working on your local drive (your C: drive)? Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. 
• You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
• Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.
• Did you try importing the project into a new Storyline file to see if it resolves any oddness?
