Scroll box "dead space" bug? (Internet Explorer only)

Mar 26, 2019

We're noticing "dead space" in our scroll boxes using Windows Internet Explorer. When we scroll to the end of the text, there is a lot of white space below the bottom of the text. We notice this problem only on Windows Internet Explorer. There is no dead space when viewing in Windows Firefox or Chrome or any Mac browser.

Are you aware of this bug? Is there fix (other than redesigning the slide)?

Please advise.

Hi there Mark, thanks for reaching out!

Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge have a known issue displaying scrolling panels in HTML5 output. Both browsers often add extra padding to the bottom of scrolling panels so there can be a significant amount of blank space after your content.

Until Microsoft fixes the problem, you can avoid it by viewing the Flash version of your content or switching to another HTML5 browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox.
