I am creating a scrolling background effect using a slider. However, as i move the slider to the right, you will notice a white bar start to appear at the top of the background. The white bar is more noticeable if you move the slide bar left and right several times. Any ideas why this is? Thanks!
John, Here's the fix. but I'm guessing it has something to do with grouping. When I moved one picture higher than the others within the group it worked. So I tried pasting one above your group and then regrouped your group to it( so I didn't have to recode anything) . I still can't answer your question, but it at least works... Hope this helps.
That's because the start and end points of your motion paths don't seem to be exactly level. So, everytime a motion path picks up relatively to where the previous instance ended, it adds a pixel ot two and that offset continues to build.
One more thought: have you considered moving the background as a slider (or sliderS, depending on your image dimensions) , rather than using motion paths? Using images for slider thumbs would make for a smoother movement. See an example here: http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl73_SL2/Parallax/V1/story.html
Michael - Thanks for sharing the demo - thats exactly what i wanted to achieve! - different information shows up as the slider is dragged. I am new to this animation/slider thing, can you share more info on how to achieve this effect?

There was an eLearning Challenge a while ago, the discussion thread includes some sample files, see here. And here is a brief blog post about my example.
