Scrolling lost in Web Objects on iPad
Sep 10, 2013
When embedding a PDF or a Web page as a Web Object, the html5 view in Pad is missing scroll bars, therefore limiting the view to the section that fits on the page.
Below are few links where you can see that. Compare the view on Desctop to the iPad to see what I mean.
Any suggestions?

Hi Misha,
Sorry to hear about the issue. Would you mind submitting a Support Case so that we can take a closer look? Please make sure to include your links when doing so. If you could also upload a .story file as well, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
-Adrian
Hi Misha,
Did you ever find a workaround for this issue?
Thanks,
Patrick
unfortunately no
I am having the same issue... any suggestions from anyone?
Hi Blake,
The original issue was specific to PDFs, is that the same behavior you're experiencing? I see that Misha's original case is still with our QA team.
I have a course with two web objects on different slides. One has a PDF and the other has an HTML based web page. In both cases, I can't scroll in the web object on the iPad... Maybe I am doing something wrong? Any suggestions?
Hi Blake,
For the PDF issue, that has been reported to our QA team and they're looking into it. I don't have a fix or a timeframe to offer at this point. For an HTML page, can you try using the two finger scrolling method described here? I know a number of users who have reported above that it's not intuitive to use two fingers, and that you don't necessarily know that it scrolls - so our team is looking into modifying that behavior as well, and it would help if you'd share your thoughts on the two finger scrolling in the form of a feature request.
Hi, I'm having the same problem with Web Objects but managed to get around the PDF issue with this: http://elearningbrothers.com/how-to-embed-a-pdf-viewer-in-articluate-storyline/
Hope it helps.
Thanks for sharing Simon :)
