Scrolling Panel
Jan 08, 2020
Hi, hopefully somebody can help me with this:
In a scrolling panel I included text and a next button. After the text is scrolled the next button appears. When I preview the file in Storyline, it all works well. However, when I publish the file then the scrolling panel keeps on scrolling way further then the next button. In order to prevent that learners scroll to far and miss the next button I want the possibility to scroll further down to be stopped when the next button is displayed. I can't figure out how this works. I attached an example.
Thank you,
Stijn

There is a known bug in IE and edge that causes this, it is a component of the browser that is broken and does not have a fix. If it is any other browser then a log a support call should help fix it.
Hi Phil, thank you for the quick reply. Indeed this is the case, it works correctly when I test it in Chrome.
So the only way to work around when I want to use this, is to tell participants to work in any other browser than IE or Edge?
Hi Stijn,
Thanks for confirming that it worked correctly in Chrome, and I'm sorry you're running into this bug.
Our team is looking at ways we can get around the calculation error from Internet Explorer and Edge. Still, we don't want to implement a change that will sacrifice quality and performance on the learner's machine. If we do make changes to the scrolling panel feature in the future, we'll let you know.
