Scrolling panel and boxing figure
Mar 07, 2019
Good afternoon everyone.
I'm showing a large picture in a scrolling panel, and I intend to have clickable buttons that highlight different sections of a that picture. I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about doing this. Ideally, I'd use layers for the highlighting, but you can't have different layers interact with a scrolling panel. They'll just show highlights wherever they appear on the layer, rather than where they are on the figure.
I can use a hidden state for the highlights, that flips to normal when you hit a button, but how would I go about removing the highlight if you click a different button? I can manually add "Set object 1 to hidden" on object 2, but if I have 10 highlights on a screen, that gets VERY cumbersome very quickly. Any advice? Thanks for your help.

You can organize all the clickable buttons/areas into a button set, which ensures that only one button/area can be selected at any given time. Here is some info on button sets.
