Scrolling text box - next issue

May 26, 2014

I have a scrolling panel with a text box attached to it. It goes haywire, eventually typing blank text at the end, not allowing me to insert a new line, can't even click on some of the lines of text at the bottom. I've tried copying from a website, and copying the web text to a Word document and copying that. No go.

I even thought maybe it was just so rudimentary that it couldn't handle copy and paste funtionality properly as your numbering doesn't even have basic indenting which is a standard across pretty much all packages. So I manually type the entire document out and once it gets to a certain point it just types blank text on the screen. And yes I checked the text colour, size, font. I even tried highlighting it and the words to the left vanished.

What's going on?

Hi Jason,

Based on this post, and another of yours I just replied to, I'd want you to check into the following:

  •  Work on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.

What DPI setting are you using? You'll want to set it to 96 DPI as described here.

Have you looked into repairing Storyline?
