Selecting the Player Button causes Storyline to crash.....

This is very frustrating and seems to be happening more and more often is various files.  I will spend days working on the content to my story when the last thing to do is edit the player (menu/text/colors) and i recieve crash reports appearing to send to Articulate.

I have sent several in the past and never recieved any follow-up on what might be the issue.

For instance I may be able to edit the menu but I cannot click 'Color & Effects' without the Send Error Reporting opening.

Hi BK,

I'm sorry to hear about the constant crashing, and would like you to check into a few things for me:

  • Are you working with local project files? Working off a network or USB drive could cause unusual and erratic behavior. 
  • What update of Storyline are you using? We're currently on update 5. 
  • Does it always happen when clicking on "Colors and effects"? Are you able to replicate the behavior in a new file that doesn't yet have content? 
  • Have you conducted the repair of Storyline? Please try follow the troubleshooting steps in this article to fix unexpected or erratic behavior in Articulate Storyline.

Please let me know if the behavior persists after checking into the above.
