Setting marker states to normal when clicking...
Jul 28, 2014
Hey guys,
I'm a little stumped on how to create the following, I'm sure there must be a way to do it but cant figure it out...
I have 3 markers on a slide, when each one is clicked the selected state shows a pop up box. What I want to do is to then create a variable/ set of triggers that will enable the states of the all the markers on the slide to return to normal if the user clicks outside of any of the markers.
At present clicking between markers isn't a problem but I want to be able to have them all set back to normal state when the user clicks elsewhere on the page so that everything on the page is visible once again.
At the moment I can only seem to achieve this with layers but this takes far to long to replicate.
Many thanks for reading!

select all three markers, right click choose button set and set a button set, this will ensure only one object can be selected
It will be more difficult to do it if they click outside of all of them, I would probably add a transparent shape under all of them and give it a transparent selected state and add that to the button set as well
Thanks Phil but this doesn't solve my problem.
I want to make it so that when a marker has been selected, clicking anywhere on the screen then hides the selected state. At present this only happens when I click from one marker to the next but means that there is always one marker with a selected state still showing.
:(
Ah, I've just seen your other reply - will test that out now
Hmm, this seems to work but I wonder.. is there a way to simplify the number of triggers involved?
Any ideas on how to create a variable similar to:
if... user clicks outside... (shape off of the screen) then states of... Marker 1, 2 & 3... change to normal?
This does not need any triggers if you add it to the button set
This is great thank you. However....(Sorry to be picky!) The problem with this one is that the finger pointer is now always present, rather than only on hovering over a marker.
