Show Animation on a Slide

I might be reaching but is there anyway this is possible..

I have a series of captions I want the viewer to follow as the slide progresses, currently we just have arrows connecting them. However I really would like to have a line connecting the captions with a glowing light or something moving along the line to keep the viewers eye following along.

Would anything like that be possible?
