w0w. Thanks for the quick response. What I have is a rectangle shape, that I want to gray out after the learner has already viewed. The interaction is set up with a main slide jumping to 6 other slides based on clicking an area on the main slide and then returning to the main slide after choosing. I want the learner to know what they have already clicked on by graying out the rectangle on the main slide.
Each rectangle/hotspot they click on has a variable associated with it so that I can show a next button when they have viewed all.
Not sure how to incorporate your response. Any help would be appreciated.
I think Andrew has pointed you in the right direction. Add a "Selected" state to each rectangle the learner clicks on. Make the rectangle for the selected state a different color or whatever you like to make it look different. Then add a trigger to the menu slide, Change state of your next button when state of all the rectangles are in the Selected state.

Hi Nancy,
Have you tried using States instead of triggers.
Check out http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/adding-and-editing-states.aspx for the tutorial.
Let me know how you go.
Cheers
Andrew
