I've published a course that has 'normal' slides and one where there's a simulation video. It works in preview, but in the LMS the screen that has the simulation doesn't - though every other screen works perfectly. Has anyone come across this situation or know what it might be? I tried publishing as HTML5 and non-HTML5 in case, but neither work for the video.
You mentioned that you've published the course for LMS, but have you had a chance to upload the course to the LMS for testing? If not, viewing the course locally may be the problem.
If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
The problem was when viewing it in the LMS. However, it transpires that the LMS was not set up for MP4 files! This has been sorted and the video plays now.
