I have a couple of slides on which I have a video. I want to assign a skip button to skip the video or hide it when the user clicks the button. I tried putting the video and button on another layer but the video can only autoplay on the baselayer ( weird bug I guess ). I can't change the video's state to 'hidden' either.
try putting the video and button on a new layer and add a trigger "when timeline starts play media file ...". This should start your video, works fine for us. :)
Edit: The video should (normally) always autoplay, no matter on which layer it is.
Thanks for the reply. It sometimes doesn't autoplay though. But I kinda found a work around by just making another slide and linking the buttons in such a way that is seems as if it's the same layer.
Hi Lars! Is your video inserted as a file or as a web object? You'll want to use the video settings 'Play automatically' so that it plays as soon as the layer opens, if using Susi's method. Here's more information on how to adjust the video settings.
