Sam, there could be a number of reasons for this. There is a Suspend data Limit to consider which when publishing to Scorm 1.2 is not very big. Once the limit is reached this can cause problems reporting the learners progress to the LMS and loading pages etc. Courses tend to freeze when this happens. Check your LMS to see which other SCORM formats you can publish to, maybe Tin Can or version 2004 Ed 3. Graphics, text, shapes, animations, fonts, interactions states etc. all add to the Suspend Data limit and should be considered when designing your slides.
