I 'm working with a custom template that I didn't build. I added it to the Storyline Template folder as well as in My Articulate Projects folder. But when I open a new project and select Insert new slide> from Templates, it doesn't show up in the drop-down list. Restarted numerous times-nothing.
I've deleted all the special characters in the file name that shouldn't have been there-like periods, etc., but still nothing.
Is a template supposed to be somewhere else too? Anyone?
Thanks for jumping back in and sharing what you found! That's correct; if the file were a .story file, it wouldn't show up when you search for templates as Storyline would be looking for a .storytemplate file!

Dang, I think I figured it out. Looking at the file name it's .story, not storytemplate.
