SL quiz giving multiple answers in LMS report

May 23, 2014

Hi all,

I have a quiz in SL that is made of free form multiple choice questions. Each question has a unique answer, so question 1 answer is a, question 2 answer is B, question 3 answer is C and so on.

I have two question banks that are chosen randomly.

Since each answer is unique, there should be no duplicates of learner response in the SCORM report from the LMS.  However, when I check the report, I see multiple instances of an answer, each one tracking back to a different question.

I have tried publishing to scorm cloud and got simliar results, which leads me to believe the issue is articulate related.

Has anyone else had this issue? Should I put in a case request?

thanks

Hi Yuna,

Are you seeing the users actual response or like an indication (that they choose the potential of A, B, or C - like a multiple choice)? Is it possible the answers were shuffled, so what you typed in as the second option is showing differently depending on the shuffle? You'll see here the quiz data that Storyline submits to an LMS.

If you'd like us to take a look at your .story file we're happy to. You can share it here in the forums using the paperclip icon, or always send it to our Support team, or I could also send you directions on how to send to me directly.
