SL: Scene numbers / slide numbers don't reset

Jun 05, 2013

I am building a course and decided to add some additional scenes.  The new scenes were imported and now show up after the quiz at the end.  The course flows correctly, however, the scenes no longer line up in the word review document.

I have "reset" the story (Player Properties), moved items up and down in the course and turned  off number entries in the menu automatically.

Short of creating a new course and reimporting it scene by scene, is there another solution?

Thanks

Thomas

Hi there Thomas. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

By "Word review document", do you mean the slides aren't lining up when you publish to a Word document?

If you want to try importing the project into a new file, it's actually pretty quick and it may help. You can import all of the scenes, rather than importing one scene at a time.

Here's some information that may help:

Importing from Another Storyline Project

I hope this helps. If not, please try clarifying where the scenes and slides appear out of order.

Thanks!

Thank you Christine.   Actually I have tried that.  Its basically about the the scenes within storyline.   I had 12 scenes (which I used in my storyboard as 1-12).   Then I added four scenes into the middle of the course.   For example, I want the quiz now to be scene 16.   It shows up at 12.  The four scenes I added are now 13-16.

I can get around this by deconstructing the course using the method you mentioned above, but I wanted to see if there is a better method.

Thanks!
