SL2 - HTML5 Drag and Drop Not Working on Tablet

May 30, 2017

Hello,

I have a SL2 course that I am launching through a LMS. I have manipulated the html file to force the launch of the HTML5 file instead of the flash file (there are a lot of little things that aren't working well with the flash version).

My module has a drag and drop activity that doesn't work when testing on a Surface Pro. I can't select the shape or interact/drag the items in any way. Strangely enough, when I attach a keyboard to the Surface, it works again. This leads me to believe that it has something to do with the touch interface of the tablet? Everything else in the module works with no issues. I am testing on the latest version of Google Chrome.

Any ideas as to why this is happening? :(

Thanks in advance!

Hi Bridgitte,

Are you able to test the course without changing the launch file? That modification isn't something I could help with - but an easy way to test it would be to publish for web and upload to Tempshare (it'll keep it live for 10 days) and when you do that you can point directly to the HTML5 file by using story_html5.html to test.

We don't have anything specific on the Surface tablet, but the minimum viewing requirements for Storyline 2 are here.
