SL3 Exporting Audio

Mar 22, 2019

As per help Articulate SL3  guide, "Exporting Audio
You can export a copy of your audio for backup purposes or to use in another project. Go to the File tab on the ribbon and select Export."

There is NO Export Audio on the ribbon bar. The only way to export audio, that we can find, is one slide at a time...anyone have a better way. We want to export the entire file like we used to do with Studio.

Thank you!

Sorry that the guide isn't clear, we'll fix that.

Here is how you can export audio:

  • At the slide level, right-click on the audio track and choose export.
  • Click on the audio track, at the top of the toolbar you should see an export option.
  •  If you're in the audio editor, click on File and export.

In Storyline 360, we just introduced a media library where you can batch upload and export audio. That's not available in Storyline 3.

If you want to grab all of the audio files in your course, there's an easy way to do it.

  • The .story can be unzipped using a free program like 7zip (that's what I use). Inside of the unzipped file, you'll find the Story folder. And inside that is a Media folder which contains all of the media files in your Storyline course. Here's a quick tutorial.

Hi ya... I have SL360.

Tom you said.. "In Storyline 360, we just introduced a media library where you can batch upload and export audio"

I see the media library and all my audio tracks like you show in your screen shot, but where is the export button.. All I can find is Import.  ??
