Slide Transitions
Apr 09, 2019
I am fairly new to Articulate and just figuring out it's capabilities and limitations. I created a new course walking new employees through the different applications they will need to use in their roles and how to set them up. I created a menu on the left of all of the slides with the symbols for all the different applications. The problem I'm having is when you change slides, instead of transitioning to the new slide it has a white screen in between the transition, so the menu disappears and comes back again, making it not as smooth as I'd like. Is there a way to remove that?
Here is the link to preview the course. I still have lots of work, but wanted to make sure I could fix this before wasting a tun of time on the rest - https://360.articulate.com/review/content/6259c475-a2e7-4405-913f-113febafbdcc/review

Two things come to mind.
You probably already know this, but in case you've not set things to show always before, right click the object in the timeline and choose the option shown in the attached png. You should be fine just having the black bar show until the end in the first slide where it appears rather than "show always."
Hey Steven!
Christa shared some excellent suggestions with you. In addition, I would check to see if there are any animations associated with the black rectangle on the left side of the slide. It looks like it may have a fade-in animation.
Let us know if you need any more help tracking down the culprit!
Thanks everyone, I got it.
Ya'll are so smart. I created a Slide Master and there was an animation that creeper in on that black sidebar. This is my first time creating a slide master, so I must have been playing around. The "show always" was great to know about too. I did't realize there was that setting
I'm glad that you got it resolved. Your course layout looks really nice.
