Slider Audio finish
Sep 04, 2017
On this slider, I have it set up so that the next button will appear when all slide layers are visited. However, I would like to make it so they have to listen to all the audio on the slider layer before they can move to the next position. Also, when they get to the last slider layer, the next button appears at the beginning of the audio. I would like it to show at the end of the audio. Suggestions?

Change state of next button to normal when media (audio file) completes.
Hi Kendra
You could also set 2 triggers on each layer
First trigger - change state of Slider 1 to Disable when the timeline starts
Second trigger - change state of Slider 1 to Normal when the timeline ends
Hope this helps
Neither one of these options work. There is audio on each position of the slider. I want the learner to listen to all of the audio before they can move on to the next slider position. Then when all positions are visited, I want the next button to be "normal." Is that doable?
Hello Kendra,
Here I created true/false variables for each layer and set their default value to false. On timeline start of each layer, I disable the slider if the variable is equal to false. When the media completes the variable is set to true and the slider is enabled.
On layer 8, there is an added trigger to enable the next button when the media completes.
Ok. I had it working. Then changed a couple of things on the slides. Now the only slide that disable works is the Preventing Unintended Pregnancies layer. What am I missing?
The rectangle that covers the slider when disabled needs to have color or have text in it. If a rectangle is transparent and has no text in it, it doesn't get included in the output.
I deleted your disabled text box and added the word Disabled back to the rectangle.
Perfect!!!! Thank you!
I downloaded the latest version (from Russell), but I can't find the "Disabled" rectangle. Where is it? Which layer? Thank you.
Hi Caroline,
I took a look at Russell's file, and it looks like it's on the base layer and showing within the slider itself:
If you're looking for something else let me know and I'll try and point you in the right direction!
Thanks, Kendra. I figured it out yesterday. :-)
Glad to hear it Caroline - and sorry for using the wrong name! 😉 I read up and saw Kendra listed.
