Has anyone else experienced their sliders coming off the track? I attach a photo to show what I mean. This occurs when I use IE, CHROME and Firefox. What to do? Any ideas would be appreciated.
I have seen this during beta testing when I revisited a slide with a slider. As far as I can remember (it's been a while), I 'fixed' this by explicitly setting the slider variable to some value when the timeline starts (e.g. 50 on a slider scale of 100) to force the slider thumb into a defined position.
Has this issue ever been resolved? I have the same issue with my layer that contains a slider. I set the initial state to set the slider variable to "0" when the timeline starts. However, when I move the slider and then click to go to another layer and come back to the slider, the slider goes off track. E.g. I move the slider to position 2/5 and then leave to open another layer, come back, then the slider is off track by 2... almost like going to -2 for some reason. I recorded this odd even and attached the video. Any input would be helpful because I am out of ideas.
Okay, I was fiddling around and managed to get the slider to stay on the track by setting the layer setting to "resume saved state" when revisiting the layer. However, now there's another problem because the slider looks fine, but when I try to move it, I need to move my mouse off the screen because it acts like the slider is off the track, yet it is on the track. Tough to explain, but essentially it's still broken because moving the slider to the right requires moving the mouse a few steps beyond the slider track. Yeesh.
I haven't seen anything further like this and don't know if Michael or Alphonso are still subscribed to this thread to weigh in on it - but if you'd like we're happy to take a look at your file. Are you able to share a copy of the .story file with us here or if you'd prefer to share privatetly you can also send along here.
Just providing the update here that Abel sent to you at the end of last week:
Just to provide an update, I was able to reproduce the issue you'd described on your project file. It appears to be happening when you leave and revisit the layer with the slider, I am seeing the same behavior where you need click off-track to control the slider.
Though I was able to replicate this in your project file, we will be needing the exact steps on how to reproduce this behavior on a new file. This has to be submitted to our Quality Assurance team for their review if this has been identified as an unexpected behavior in Storyline. I tried to reproduce this in a new file to no avail, I would like to ask for your help to provide a detailed step-by-step procedure on how we can reproduce this in a new file since you are more familiar on how you'd designed your project. Please be detailed as possible.
You can respond to his email from Support@articulate.com to share more information and detail about how to replicate the issue.

Thanx Michael
will try that over weekend. Much appreciated.

Okay, thanks. I submitted my file to the support team. Hopefully they can find what's wrong.
Thanks Martin - and I'll keep an eye on your case (# 00645983 for my reference).

I replied just now. I wasn't able to replicate the issue in a new file though.
Thanks,
Thanks Martin for the update - hopefully it was just that one file, but Abel did share it with our QA team to be investigated further.
Has there been any update on this issue? I'm having the exact same problem as Martin described here earlier.
Hi Greg,
This issue is still with our QA team and I don't have any additional information to share at this time.
