I have a slider set up on one of my slides which on each step seems to show the layer assigned by the trigger for roughly 5 seconds and then it flicks to the base layer.
Does anyone know a fix for this or what I may have done wrong? I've used sliders lots before and never had this issue.

do your layers have a 5 second timeline and is the option 'hide layer when timeline ends' ticked in the layer options?
YES! It was the 'hide layer when timeline ends' in the properties.
