I would like to know if it is possible to put a simulation anywhere on the slide. I noticed that it can be either dispalyed full screen or centered on the slide. But what if I need to have the software simulation on the left side only and some content on the right side?
Are you inserting your simulation as a video or as step by step instructions? If inserting it as a video, you can simply click on the video, grab one of the handles on the corner and resize the video (if needed). You can then drag the video to whatever position on your slide you want.
I haven't done much with screen recordings in Storyline, so I'm not an expert on this, but I do not see a way to resize the screen recording if it's inserted as step by step instructions.
Hopefully someone here can jump in and confirm or deny this...
Again, I haven't really played around with these much, but I wonder if there might be a way to record a simulation in a project at a small stage size, then import that story into your main storyline project?? Probably not, but just tossing some ideas around...
Brian, that's what I've tried already and it was not working. It imported the .story but the view scene was empty.
@Phil, I actually managed to record a software simulation in a smaller size than my project. The step by step demo is then dislapyed in the middle of the screen. I would like to display it on the left side but it seems I can't have any control over its position on the slide.

Thank you Brian for your reply. Actually, I need to insert it as step by step instructions.

No I think you are stuck with the screen size as full size

I thought of that, but I think it will stretch everything when you change the dimensions or import into another sized project
That would be my guess, too...
