I have the sound on my base layer; however, when I add a layer and when the new layer presents itself and the bullets all come in on cue but there is no sound.
It seems that the sound on the base layer stops playing while it is on the new layer. I was recently away for two years, is this something new. When I left was using SL3.
Thank you Wendy. I went to that slide and I can't find that option. Where
would I find that selection about pausing the timeline?

Found it. I will try to build another layer and make sure that that box is
not checked.

Hi Patrick
on the layers check if you have ' pause timeline of base layer' selected
If not, perhaps you could share the file (or just that slide) and we can help you troubleshoot.
