In one slide in my project, I added a state on several objects. The new state adds a reflection effect to each object. I set up triggers to change these objects to the reflection state when a cue point is reached in the timeline. It works if I preview the slide by clicking Preview (this slide), but it DOESN'T work when I click on the Play triangle in the timeline. Why is that?
Can you view state changes in Slide View when pressing the Play button on the timeline?
The Play button on the bottom of the timeline in Slide View is used to view animations and listen to audio. It's also a great way to add cue points at specific times.
State changes aren't initiated when playing the timeline in Slide View. You'll want to use Preview to see the slide in action!

The timeline preview is flakey in a lot of ways, but especially with states. It is useful for animations.
