State Changes and Drag and Drop

I am wanting to include an activity in a course where participants have to select who they think would need to be on a specific team from a list of people but I cannot figure out how to make this work.

The idea would be that you would have a list of say 10 people to choose from, and you would get feedback for each person you did or didn't put on the team as to whether that was a good choice.

Ideally I would like this to be a drag and drop interaction, where participants could drag the team members they choose into a list. 

I thought having correct and incorrect states for each of the people would be the best way to achieve this. But I have tried a number of different ways to try and get this to work and cannot figure out how.

I am not sold on having it as a drag and drop, so any other suggestions that would work for this would be welcome. The main thing is that there is not a right or wrong answer overall, just for each of the people, and that they do not know this until they have finalised their team.
