Stopping javascript

Mar 09, 2016

Dear all,

I am using javascript to open a webobject. I am passing a variable from Storyline in the url of the web object to open and this is very helpful from my lecture.

However, the window opened is on top of the player and cannot close it. this is a problem when moving back and forth from the slide menou (next, previous slide). Any idea how to terminate the window open, upon going to next or previous slide?

Hi,

I'm not sure I"m clear on how you'd like to control this, but Javascript is not something that I'm able to offer support for, so I did want to defer to the community for additional ideas.

If the web object is inserted on one slide alone, I'm unsure how it's still remaining when the user navigates to another slide - is it opening in a new browser window on top of your existing course? If so, perhaps instead look at inserting it directly into the slide as described here.
I also wanted to share that there is some information here in terms of how the web object or website videos are layered with other slide content.
