Storyline 1 - Is there a way to send results without an LMS?

Apr 30, 2015

Hi,

I've got a course we built a couple years ago in Articulate Presenter.  At the end of the course, there was an exam and learners would click on a SEND button to email their results. It wasn't perfect, sometimes, learners had to do a print screen of their results and email that. See, we didn't and still don't have an LMS. My predecessor was then asked to transfer the course and exam to Storyline 1 last year, which he did. I have just been asked to do content updates in that course and exam in Storyline 1, and I clearly see that there is nothing there (no button/conditions) enabling learners to email their results. Is it still possible to do this in Storyline 1, even without a LMS? My organization is working on getting one, but I think it may be still a year out before that is completed. Any way around this issue? Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Nathalie!

We want every feature in our software to work well. And, unfortunately, there’s no way to email results easily, accurately, and consistently. We decided not to include the email results feature in our products anymore. Please review the following article for more information.

Storyline is designed primarily as an elearning development tool to be used in conjunction with Articulate Online or your own Learning Management System (LMS).

Hopefully someone in the community will be able to assist you if you need to utilize e-mail.

Thank you. I saw this same reply after I had posted my question. Thank you.
