Storyline 1: Menu restriction not working in the LMS

Hi guys,

I created my file using STL1, and the MENU restriction is working perfectly fine there, however when I upload it to our LMS it seems that our learners can freely jump into the items on the MENU.  *This doesn't happen to our STL3 Published files housed in the same LMS.

I need that particular file in STL1 version in our LMS with a restricted MENU. Does anyone here knows how to solve this?

Hey Daile,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know that you're having difficulty with your restricted navigation in Storyline 1.

I'm assuming you followed the directions to restrict your navigation here, which should include restricting the menu as well.

Curious if you encounter a similar error if you upload the content into SCORM Cloud or if the issue is limited to your LMS?

Hi Leslie,

Yup I followed all the instructions on Menu restriction, and YES same error occurs when I uploaded my content in the SCORM Cloud.

I also found out that the error doesn't occur when I'm using Internet Explorer, both in our LMS and in SCORM Cloud.

Is there anyway I can play my module in GChrome or in any browser without having to encounter the misbehavior in the MENU?

Thanks for the additional details Daile.

I was able to track down an issue specific to HTML5 output in Storyline 1 that matches what you are experiencing.

Our HTML5 has been completely re-done in Storyline 3 and I know you mentioned using this above. Would you be able to update those courses to Storyline 3 to alleviate the issue you are running into?
