Storyline 2 drag and drop challenge
Oct 15, 2015
I have been working to develop a concept map practice activity which requires students to categorize concepts by dragging key points and dropping these under an appropriate category. I have two concept map organizers "What is it?" and "Why is it important?" The students need to select (drag) three of the six listed key points and drop these under any of three available spots for a correct answer. See the graphic below. My problem is that I don't know how to make the drop targets accept any of the three possible correct responses (an 'or' type of response) instead of only one specific matching response.

HI David
check out this previous post. Becky does a screencast showing how you can allow multiple drag items in multiple drop targets - hope that helps

Thank you Wendy. That's exactly what I was looking for. Terrific!
Glad that helped David...good luck with your project.
Wendy to the rescue once again! Thanks so much for letting us know you are all set, David. :)
Whoops! I guess I spoke too soon. I was able to successfully follow the tutorial and to make the drop targets accept any of the three possible correct responses. Unfortunately, I have run into another glitch. When the user clicks the 'Submit' button the results are not shown and the scene does not advance to the 'Results' slide. I am rather new to the software and likely committing a novice error, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out why it doesn't work. Does anyone have a suggestion that I might follow to remedy this issue? Has anyone else experienced this?
Have you specified a results slide for the interaction?
Thank you Walt. I was on a flight to a conference, so did not get a chance to review your advice until now. I see my primary error was that I didn't watch Rebecca's Drag Drop - Multiple Drags with Multiple Targets video all the way through. In other words, I shouldn't assume I've got it until I actually thoroughly review the helpful advice and tutorials here. I won't make that mistake again. I could have saved myself a few hours by not skimming and skipping. I had not employed the 'c' (correct) nor the 'i' (incorrect) buttons as suggested.
Everything now works perfectly (and logically) as it should.
Glad that you were able to get this sorted David. Thanks for popping back in with an update.
