Storyline 2 Next/ Previous Triggers

I have triggers set on the Next/Prev Player buttons as illustrated below. The slide is set to resume saved state. When I view the slide...it works as it should and the Next button appears when the audio completes. Clicking Next takes me to the next slide. I run into the problem when I click Previous... The Next button is now gone and the content is in the Resume Saved State. What am I missing here? Shouldn't the Next button still be present?

I believe the media needs to actually play for the trigger to take effect. You could try setting a variable to true when media completes, then using that to trigger the next button when returning.
