Storyline 2: Parallax Effect with Sliders
Jun 17, 2016
Hello Everyone,
I recently got introduced to Articulate Storyline and I have been learning how to create interactive courses. I came across the parallax effect and more precisely a lovely demo done by Ross Garner (https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/storyline-testing/mountaintours/story.html) and even though there were some instructions I am still very confused how the images became sliders. In my Articulate Storyline 2 I can insert a slider but I cannot make the image a slider itself. Sorry if this seems confusing, I hope someone can help me solve this puzzle.

Hi Elena
here are a number of demos in a recent ELH Challenge on parallax effect that may help you. A lot of them have demos and the source SL file so you can see how they have been structured.
You can use an image for the fill of both the slider thumb or the track. See this example here. Every moving element is its own slider where the thumb was replaced with an image.
Dear Michael,
Is there are any chance you can share it for upload so I can see what triggers/states//functionalities you used. I really like it but frankly I have no idea what the steps are.
The recent eLearning Challenge Wendy had mentioned includes a number of simple source files that get you started.
